What You’ll Do

As a Shop Assistant/Cashier at Ackermans, you’ll be responsible for making our customers happy and ensuring they have a great shopping experience. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

1. Customer Service:

Help customers find what they’re looking for.
Answer questions and solve any problems they might have.

2. Cashier Duties:

Handle cash and card payments.
Process Lay-Bys and refunds.
Report any issues to the supervisor and ensure tills are balanced.

3. Merchandising:

Make sure products are priced correctly and displayed nicely.
Keep the sales floor stocked and tidy.
Stay updated with current promotions.

4. Risk Management:

Ensure products are tagged according to company policy.
Participate in stock takes and watch out for shoplifters and fraud.
Report any suspicious behavior to management.
