Position Overview: General Worker

We are seeking enthusiastic General Workers to become part of our Groceries Business Unit/Division. This role is based in Randfontein and will report to the Senior Lab Analyst. As a General Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that our laboratory operates smoothly and safely. Your main tasks will include maintaining cleanliness, handling waste, and assisting in the management of various systems and procedures.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

Grade 12/Matric: Basic educational qualification.
Basic Hygiene Knowledge: Understand cleanliness and hygiene practices.

Your Key Responsibilities:

As a General Worker at RCL FOODS, your day-to-day duties will include:

Keeping the Lab Spotless: Ensure the laboratory is always clean and organized.
Handling Waste: Properly remove and manage samples and waste materials.
Cleaning Duties: Maintain the cleanliness of glassware, floors, countertops, and bathrooms.
Stock Management: Transfer consumables to the chemical store as needed.
Ensuring Safety and Compliance: Identify and address any deviations from standard procedures and take proactive steps to minimize or prevent them.
