Job Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12
- Age: Between 18 and 35 years
- Driving License: Code B or C (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Languages: Competence in at least two official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans, English, isiXhosa – Read, Write, and Speak)
- Criminal Record: No criminal record with a valid police clearance (not older than 3 months)
- Physical and Mental Fitness: Must be in good physical and mental health
- Preference: Given to candidates with basic firefighting training
- Teamwork: Must be able to work well in a team
- Responsibility: High level of responsibility
- Overtime: Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as needed
- Residence: Must reside in the Bergrivier Municipal Area

Compensation:
Rate: R250 per day
Working Hours: 40 hours per week with a willingness to work weekends as needed
Contract Period: 01 November 2024 – 31 June 2025 (or as agreed)
Recruitment Process:
- Fitness Test – Requirements:
- Complete a 2.4km run in under 15 minutes
- Maximum sit-ups in 1 minute
- Maximum push-ups in 1 minute
- Carry 2x25kg foam cans over 50 meters in under 60 seconds
- Drag a 45mmx30m fire hose under pressure over 30 meters in under 36 seconds
- Interview Session
- Candidates must not be afraid of confined spaces, heights, water, blood, or corpses.
- Willingness to work weekends if required by the duty schedule.

Location: Rhinopark Sportsground, Sarel Cilliers Street, Piketberg.
Note: Latecomers will not be tested.
Candidates must wear comfortable training clothes.
