What’s the Job About?
As a Store Manager at Sheet Street, you’ll be in charge of running the store like a boss. Your main goal is to make sure everything is smooth sailing and customers are super happy. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Your Daily To-Dos:
Stock Management:
Stock Unpacking: Make sure all stock is received and unpacked correctly, and the sales floor is always looking fresh.
Stock Levels: Keep an eye on stock levels with regular checks to avoid losses and ensure we always have enough products.
Stockroom: Keep the stockroom neat and tidy.
Handling Issues: Authorize returns, breakages, and other stock-related issues.
Boosting Sales & Profit:
Reports Analysis: Check out sales and profit reports to work with the management team on plans to boost sales.
Product Performance: Stay updated on how products are doing and share insights with the team to help improve sales.
New Opportunities: Think of creative ways to increase sales and make our brand more popular. This might include in-store events, local partnerships, and encouraging new memberships.

Managing Risks:
- Compliance Checks: Make sure the store follows all policies and procedures with regular checks and audits.
- Health & Safety: Ensure the store meets health and safety standards to keep everyone safe.
Customer Experience:
- Customer Processes: Implement processes to make sure customers have a great experience every time they visit.
- Promotions: Oversee markdowns, promotions, and general housekeeping to keep the store looking good and customers happy.
Leading & Developing the Team:
- Team Leadership: Motivate and lead your team to hit store targets and follow company values.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and focus on developing your team for future success.
- Performance Management: Recruit and manage team performance according to company policies.

What You Need to Have:
- Education: Grade 12 certificate.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in store or assistant store management, preferably in a similar retail environment.
- Skills: Sales and service management, budgeting, proficiency in MS Office, excellent communication skills, understanding of retail trade, and knowledge of brand, customer, and product management.
