What Does a General Assistant Do?
As a General Assistant at Brights Hardware, your main job is to help customers and keep the store running smoothly. You’ll be the person who makes sure customers get what they need, their cars are loaded properly, and the store stays neat and clean. You’ll also work closely with other staff and delivery drivers.

Daily Tasks You’ll Be Doing
Here’s a quick look at the things you’ll be doing every day:
- Help load products into customers’ cars, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks.
- Make sure all stock is stacked neatly and counted correctly.
- Help with picking stock for transfers to other stores.
- Let your supervisor know if anything is broken or missing.
- Keep your area clean by sweeping and organizing.
- Help customers with a friendly attitude and basic product knowledge.
- Bag sand and stone when needed.
- Take part in stock counts from time to time.
- Keep your work area clean and safe.
- Do any other work your supervisor asks you to do.

What You’ll Need to Apply
