About the General Assistant Position

The General Assistant plays an important role in the daily operations of the yard. The successful candidate will assist customers with loading purchases, help maintain stock, support warehouse and yard activities, and ensure the work area remains clean and organised.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Successful applicants will perform a variety of important tasks every day.

Loading and Stock Handling

Your responsibilities may include:

• Loading customer vehicles quickly and accurately.
• Loading delivery trucks and transfer trucks.
• Assisting with pulling stock for transfers.
• Ensuring products are loaded safely to avoid damage.
• Counting stock accurately before loading.
• Reporting stock shortages immediately.
• Reporting damaged or broken stock to supervisors.

Accurate stock handling helps ensure customers receive the correct products while reducing unnecessary losses.

Yard Maintenance and Housekeeping

Keeping the yard clean and organised is an important part of the job.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Sweeping work areas.
