What Will You Do as a Sales Assistant?

You’ll be the first face customers see when they walk through the door and the go-to expert when they need advice. Your job is to help them choose the right products while keeping things organized and driving more sales.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly way
• Recommend the best products for each customer’s need
• Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and service
• Handle stock levels, including ordering and stock counts
• Maintain product displays, prices, and merchandising standards
• Keep accurate records of special orders and invoices
• Keep your area clean, tidy, and well-stocked
• Help with admin tasks and support your department
• Participate in regular stock takes and follow store processes

What You Need to Apply

You must tick all the boxes below:

✅ Matric certificate OR 3 Intercept Courses (totalling 120 credits)
✅ At least 2 years of experience in a hardware store environment
✅ In-depth knowledge of lighting products
✅ Completed Brights Service Excellence Induction
✅ Internal training in sales and merchandising
✅ Minimum of 2 Product Knowledge Certificates
✅ A natural flair for sales and good people skills
✅ Excellent communication (spoken and written)
