As a General Assistant, your role will be crucial in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and ensuring safety for both customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
- Assist customers with product selections and queries.
- Handle customer complaints efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain Merchandising Standards
- Keep stock areas organized and aligned with the store layout.
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked and display products neatly.
- Perform Housekeeping Duties
- Keep aisles clear and stock merchandised timely.
- Ensure price labels are correct and updated.
- Follow daily cleaning schedules for canteen and restrooms.
- Ensure Safety Compliance
- Follow all safety rules and wear necessary safety gear.
- Report any safety concerns to the Store Manager promptly.
- Prevent Stock Loss
- Identify and report any damaged stock to the Store Manager.
Requirements to Apply
To be eligible for this position, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Education: Grade 10 (NQF Level 3) with one year of experience, or Grade 12 without experience.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and the main local language.
- Documentation: Valid South African ID or work permit.
- Skills: Basic math skills for accurate calculations.
- Availability: Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Adaptability: Ability to work well under pressure.
