📌 Job 1: Store Cleaners (Entry-Level)

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Store Cleaner, your job is to make sure the store stays clean, hygienic, and presentable at all times. This includes the shop floor, stockroom, dispensary, admin office, and canteen. You will help create a pleasant shopping experience for customers by keeping everything spotless!

Duties & Responsibilities:

✔️ Keep the store clean and tidy before opening hours.
✔️ Maintain cleanliness in all areas, including restrooms and the canteen.
✔️ Be available throughout the day for on-the-spot cleaning when needed.
✔️ Use the right cleaning products and equipment for each task.
✔️ Ensure wet floor signs are in place to prevent accidents.
✔️ Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
✔️ Be professional and helpful to customers when needed.

Requirements (What You Need to Apply):

✅ Minimum: Grade 12 (Matric).
✅ Experience: At least 6 months of cleaning experience.
✅ Skills: Basic English skills and customer service experience.
✅ Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

🔹 Bonus (Advantageous):
✔️ Bilingual (Speaking more than one language is a plus!).

🔐 Job 2: Security Guards (Entry-Level)

Are you observant, responsible, and looking for a secure job in a well-known retail store? Dis-Chem Pharmacies needs Security Guards to help protect their staff, customers, and property at their Scottburgh Mall store.

What You’ll Be Doing:

✔️ Monitor the store, staff, and customers to prevent theft and suspicious activity.
✔️ Conduct random patrols to ensure everything is in order.
✔️ Control entry & exit points—only allow authorized people inside.
✔️ Investigate and report any suspicious activity to management.
✔️ Be visible at all times to prevent criminal activity.
✔️ Conduct bag and vehicle checks according to store procedures.
✔️ Ensure doors and windows are locked at closing time.
✔️ Respond quickly in emergencies and call authorities when needed.
✔️ Keep detailed reports of unusual incidents and daily activities.
✔️ Help customers, staff, and suppliers in a friendly and professional manner.

Requirements (What You Need to Apply):

✅ Minimum: Grade 12 (Matric) OR Senior Certificate.
✅ Certification: Grade C PSIRA accreditation (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).
✅ Experience: At least 3 years of security experience (retail security, shopping malls, or warehouses preferred).
✅ Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write English well.

🔹 Bonus (Advantageous):
✔️ At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
✔️ Ability to speak a third language.

Special Conditions of Employment:

📌 South African Citizen with a clear criminal record.
📌 Able to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.
📌 Physically fit—must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for long periods.
📌 Own reliable transport OR live near the store.
📌 If working as a security driver, a valid driver’s license & PDP is required.
