Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for keeping the store clean and organized, ensuring all areas are maintained according to Dis-Chem’s hygiene standards.

Your duties will include:

• Cleaning the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness before the store opens.
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout operating hours.
• Keeping the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked at all times.
• Using the correct cleaning products and equipment for each task.
• Placing wet floor signs to ensure customer safety while cleaning.
• Assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner when needed.
• Following Health and Safety Regulations at all times.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following essential requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience.
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Basic customer service skills.
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
