Position: Administrative Assistant, Export Documentation, Healthcare

Location: Johannesburg, Sandton
Type: Full-Time

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 2 years’ experience in a logistics environment – Familiarity with logistics operations is crucial for handling export processes.
  • 2 years’ experience in customer service – Experience in managing order queries and client interactions is essential.
  • 1 year of export experience – Including issuing shipping documents like commercial invoices and packing lists, with a solid understanding of the export process.
  • Strong time management and analytical skills – Attention to detail is key to succeeding in this role.
  • Good interpersonal skills – The ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues is a must.

Additional Skills That Would Be a Plus:

  • Knowledge of an export document package – This will set you apart from other candidates.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills – Proficiency in MS Office is required to manage day-to-day tasks efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

As an Administrative Assistant at DSV, your duties will include:

  • Processing orders – Follow proper procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Issuing export documentation – Prepare shipping documents for all shipments and issue proforma invoices as required.
  • Handling customer queries – Respond to customer calls quickly and provide timely feedback to both customers and clients.
  • Maintaining the filing system – Keep records organized and up-to-date.
  • Liaising with other departments – Work closely with other teams to improve customer service levels.
  • Arranging pre-shipment inspections – Ensure all necessary inspections are completed before shipment.
  • Issuing letters of credit documents – Manage and issue necessary financial documents for exports.
