Job Description:

As a Cash in Transit Officer, you will report to the Assistant Manager of Revenue Control and be responsible for:

• Facilitating decisions and actions with AMC representatives to ensure smooth operations.
• Safely locking away money bags and managing the drainage of pay station machines.
• Operating and monitoring the CIMA machine, reporting any discrepancies.
• Finalizing banking processes with cash in transit companies and performing manual banking when necessary.
• Keeping accurate records of all collected monies and ensuring proper handover to the next shift.
• Assisting with ad hoc services as required and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash Handling: Remove, replace, and secure safes from pay station machines. Count and reconcile collected monies.
• Risk Management: Engage with security service providers to minimize risks during cash transit.
• Operational Efficiency: Ensure proper operation of equipment and report any discrepancies.
• Compliance: Adhere to all statutory regulations, SOPs, and company policies.

Technical Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Education: Grade 12 certificate is essential.
• Experience:
  • 1 year of operational experience is essential.
  • 2 years of experience in cash in transit is recommended.
• Skills:
  • Risk Management Certificate is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Valid Code B Driver’s License.
