What’s the Warehouse Operator Role All About?
As a Warehouse Operator focused on Loose Case and Layer picking, your job is to carefully select, pack, and count products following clear picking instructions. You help make sure every customer order is accurate and ready on time.
Your work will be important in keeping the warehouse running smoothly and meeting safety rules. Plus, you’ll be part of a team that supports one another to reach shared goals.
Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:
- Picking products carefully by following instructions and selecting the right items
- Packing the products safely and labeling them correctly to meet quality standards
- Keeping pallets stable and secure during picking and transport
- Counting and checking items to avoid mistakes in orders
- Reporting if any products are missing or out of stock
- Using warehouse equipment like pallet jacks to move products around efficiently
- Working with the inventory team to keep stock records accurate
- Keeping your work area clean and organized for safety and efficiency
- Reporting any damaged goods or packaging problems to supervisors
- Following all company rules and safety guidelines, including wearing protective gear
- Joining training sessions to improve your picking skills and keep up with new procedures
- Helping create a safe workplace and following safety protocols at all times
Who Should Apply?
You could be a great fit if you:
- Have a Matric certificate (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification
- Have 1 to 3 years of experience in warehouse work, preferably in FMCG retail
- Hold a valid Electric Pallet Jack License
- Are friendly, confident, and work well with others in a team
- Can stay accurate and focused on details
- Communicate well in English, both spoken and written
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced and busy environment
- Have good computer skills, especially with Microsoft programs
