What the Job Involves

As a Hygiene Operator, your main role is to make sure the entire plant meets Ecowize’s strict cleaning standards. Every day, you will perform the company’s well-known 10-Step Cleaning Process — a detailed routine designed to ensure food safety and hygiene across all areas of the plant. Your job is not just about cleaning; it’s about creating a safe, healthy, and well-maintained environment for food production.

Your duties will include:

• Performing the full 10-Step Cleaning Process daily, following all food safety rules.
• Keeping your work environment clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Managing daily cleaning operations, including CIP (Clean-In-Place) and deep cleaning activities.
• Maintaining strong communication and relationships with customers and ensuring all their hygiene expectations are met.
• Following daily cleaning schedules and completing all assigned tasks on time.

This role requires someone who is serious about cleanliness, pays attention to detail, and can handle physically demanding work in a fast-moving environment.

What You Need to Qualify

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is essential.
• Previous experience in deep cleaning is required.
• Experience with chemical stock control is a must.
• Must be able and willing to work shifts, including weekends.
• Should be comfortable following and completing daily work instructions.
• Previous experience in the food production industry will be a strong advantage.
