The Picker/Packer is responsible for picking and packing goods that enter and exit the warehouse. They prepare items for shipping by weighing, labeling, and packing goods for delivery. The Picker/Packer is also required to load and off-load vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and check all incoming stock.
- Pick orders accurately according to picking slips.
- Ensure correct stock is issued and dispatched daily.
- Fulfills customer orders in a timely manner.
- Checks products for any damages, reporting problems to management.
- Build and maintain product knowledge to assist with accurate picking and packing.
- Support the warehouse administrators with monthly stock counting and stock variance reviews.
- Action back orders and communicate fulfilment issues pro-actively with warehouse administrators.
- Reports any mechanical problems on equipment.
- Highlight possible improvement opportunities to the warehouse manager
- Follows good safety practices and work safe practices.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary work area.
- Participate in conducting warehouse stock counts as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Grade 12.
- Relevant Qualification.
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in a warehouse.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
- Familiarity with hand-held scanning devices.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Excellent organisational skills.
