Job Purpose

The main goal of the Terminal Operator is to perform all operational activities using plant equipment and resources safely and in line with company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are received, stored, and dispatched correctly, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and performing minor plant maintenance.

What You’ll Need

Baseline Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) is mandatory.
- At least 2 years of experience in Terminal operations or Supply Chain.
Advantageous Experience:
- Handling different product grades via pipeline, ship, and road.
- Interacting with other oil companies, external surveyors, and internal shipping teams.
- Ensuring the effective operation of the plant and contributing to minor maintenance tasks.

Exciting Challenges

In this role, you will manage various stakeholders both inside and outside Engen. This includes ensuring that products are received, stored, and dispatched correctly without any accidents, contaminations, or spills.

Key Responsibilities

As a Terminal Operator, you will:

Receive Products: Ensure the right products in the right quantities are received into stock.

Safety Compliance: Store products safely according to policy guidelines and instructions, ensuring no accidents or spills.

Product Handling: Handle products according to laid-down guidelines, ensuring no delays in customer service.

Maintenance: Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and hazard-free condition, keeping depot equipment in good working order.

Stock Management: Count stocks and dip tanks on time as per the agreed schedule.

Customer Interaction: Interact with customers and service providers to ensure smooth operations.

Compliance: Comply with PPE, ZETO Rule, STOP, and Environmental regulations.
