Role Purpose:

To ensure sufficient stock availability as per production schedule

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent literacy and numeric level

Required Experience:

Previous experience in a production environment, minimum of 3 months

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Basic numeracy
High level of honesty and integrity
Knowledge of production processes
Shift work and overtime
Knowledge of health and safety rules

Key responsibilities of the role:

Ensure all resources are available in line with production requirement.
Report any mechanical/electrical issues to the control Room/Supervisor that may affect the smooth running of the plant.
Accurately record any data required for production analysis e.g. tipping logs.
Respond to manual production bottlenecks e.g. clearing choked elevators.
Conduct visual checks e.g. availability of raw material and report any deviation to the control room/supervisor.
Ensure compliance with applicable work instructions and procedures.
Adherence to Feed Safety Standards and Procedures.
Adhere to Health, Safety Environmental Standards and Procedures.
Perform any reasonable tasks as requested by Control Room / Supervisor.
Perform daily stock-take duties.
