What You’ll Be Doing (Main Responsibilities) 🚨
- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance.
- Ensure readiness for emergency situations.
- Provide intermediate medical care as per scope of practice.
- Maintain professionalism and promote a positive image of ER24.
Who Can Apply? (Minimum Requirements) ✅
Education:
- Essential: Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate or Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care.
- Desired: Completion of Clinical Practice Guidelines training from the Health Professions Council of South Africa (If not completed, successful candidates must complete this training during probation).
Experience:
- Essential: At least 1 year of EMS experience.
- Desired: 1 year of ILS experience.
Skills & Knowledge Required: 📚
- Strong knowledge of best practices in emergency medical care.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
- Familiar with HPCSA guidelines and emergency procedures.
- Able to navigate travel routes and demographical areas efficiently.
- Experience with Patient Report Forms and documentation.
