What You’ll Be Doing as the Receptionist

As the Receptionist, you are the face and voice of GALXBOY. Whether it’s welcoming visitors, handling phone calls, or keeping the office running smoothly — you set the tone for the whole brand.

Your duties will include:

Front Desk & Guest Management

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally
• Make sure the reception area always looks stylish and neat
• Direct visitors to the correct departments
• Be the first smiling face people see when they walk in

Brand Representation

• Represent GALXBOY’s bold and confident image in everything you do
• Dress professionally and align with the brand vibe
• Communicate clearly, kindly, and professionally at all times

Call Handling & Communication

• Answer and transfer incoming calls quickly and politely
• Take accurate messages and pass them on without delay
• Handle basic questions via phone, email, or in person

Admin Support

• Help with typing, scanning, filing, and document formatting
• Support other departments with small admin tasks when needed
• Ensure everything you do is detailed and accurate

Mail & Delivery Management

• Accept and sort daily mail, courier packages, and deliveries
• Keep clear records of what comes in and what goes out

Calendar & Meeting Coordination

• Schedule meetings and appointments
• Arrange travel bookings, hotel stays, and prepare travel documents

Office Supplies & Inventory

• Keep track of stationery and order more when needed
• Make sure the front office is always stocked and organized

Security & Access Control

• Monitor visitor sign-ins and issue badges
• Ensure all front desk safety rules are followed
• Report any unusual activity to your manager

Expense Tracking

• Keep simple records of spending related to the front desk
• Submit weekly updates to the finance team

What You’ll Need to Apply

To join the GALXBOY team, you must meet these requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• At least 2 years of experience in a receptionist or front desk role
• Good with MS Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Experience with phone systems, calendar tools, and general office equipment
• Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
• Organized and able to multitask under pressure

Added Advantage:

• A diploma or certificate in Office Administration or related studies
