What You’ll Be Doing

In this position, you’ll report directly to the Mining Shift Supervisor. Your duties will include:

• Performing production activities in line with safety and environmental regulations.
• Communicating production information and specifications clearly to your team.

• Identifying and correcting unsafe or substandard practices in your work area.
• Upholding discipline and teamwork among colleagues.
• Working independently when required, while also supporting shift operations.

You’ll be expected to maintain a strong commitment to safety and ensure that all mining activities are done according to best practices. The role also requires quick decision-making and strong problem-solving skills to deal with challenges underground.

What You’ll Need to Qualify

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• A valid Blasting Certificate.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Miner in a trackless or mechanized mining environment.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Computer literacy for basic data recording and reporting.
• Be medically fit to work underground and willing to work shifts.

These requirements ensure that you can safely and effectively carry out the technical and physical demands of the role. Candidates who have experience in high-performance mining teams or who have worked in mechanized operations will be at an advantage.
