These positions are based within a busy warehouse environment where fast, accurate picking and packing of items is essential. It’s a physically active job, so it’s perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in staying organized and efficient.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Picker Packer
Your main job will be to accurately pick parts and deliver them safely, on time, and in good condition. You’ll work in a fast-moving environment where precision and teamwork are key.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Picking and binning parts according to strict procedures (GLC743218 and GLC743219)
- Delivering picked items to the correct chutes and securing all parts to prevent damage or loss
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols
- Meeting or exceeding the required picking rate of 19 lines per hour
- Returning all equipment to its proper place when not in use
- Reporting any unsafe working conditions or incidents immediately
- Assisting fellow team members when needed
- Working overtime when necessary to meet company targets
What You Need to Apply
To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12) and ABET Level 4
Experience:
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience
- Familiarity with spares identification and verification
Skills & Competencies:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team
- A strong work ethic, especially under pressure
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Knowledge of safety protocols and awareness of OHS Act (especially Section 14)
Bonus Skills (Not Required but Preferred):
- Valid Forklift or Crane Licence
