What Will You Do as a Food Service Assistant?

As part of the Fedics team, you’ll be involved in a variety of day-to-day tasks that help keep operations running smoothly and meals served fresh and on time. Here are some of your responsibilities:

• Help with meal preparation and plating food items like entrees, salads, and sides
• Keep the serving line clean and fully stocked
• Record and store leftover food correctly
• Keep kitchen areas, canteen tables, and equipment clean
• Follow strict hygiene and food safety regulations
• Deliver excellent customer service with every interaction
• Support with stock handover between shifts when needed
• Handle customer feedback and act on instructions from management
• Join training sessions and team meetings to build your skills
• Be flexible and ready to help with other tasks as needed
• Work weekend and night shifts when required

You’ll play a key role in making sure each meal served meets high quality standards and every customer has a good experience.

What You Need to Apply

To qualify for this position, you’ll need:

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar food service or catering role
• A willingness to work shifts, including weekends and nights
• A team-first mindset and strong work ethic
