Joburg City Theatres is calling on all young job seekers in Johannesburg to apply for their 2025 Learnership Programme (20 Positions Available). The closing date for applications is 5 August 2025.
If you’re between the ages of 18 and 35, live in the City of Johannesburg, and are looking for a way to break into the exciting world of live event production, this might be the break you’ve been waiting for. Joburg City Theatres (JCT), one of the leading entertainment hubs in the city, is now offering a learnership programme that gives young people the chance to gain real work experience and get certified—all while earning a monthly stipend of R3,500.
This programme is designed to help young, unemployed people learn valuable skills in the world of live event technical production—like setting up sound and lighting for concerts, plays, and other shows. You’ll attend classes and also get hands-on experience working at Joburg Theatre.
At the end of the programme, you’ll walk away with a nationally recognised NQF Level 4 qualification, which could open doors for jobs in the entertainment and events industry.
To be considered for this amazing opportunity, you must:
