Khumani Iron Ore Mine, part of Assmang Pty Ltd, invites suitably qualified and motivated individuals to apply for its Learnership Programme 2025. About the Learnership Programme

The Khumani Iron Ore Mine Learnerships are designed to help learners grow and develop within the company while equipping them with industry-relevant skills. Learners will be appointed on a 24-month fixed-term contract and will receive a monthly stipend according to the company’s remuneration practices. Minimum Entry Requirements

To be considered for the learnerships, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (compulsory).
Must be medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act (29/1996).
A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
Willingness to undergo training on different shifts.

Skills and Competencies

Khumani Mine is looking for learners who have:

Basic computer skills.
Good hand-eye-foot-ear coordination.
Willingness to work hard and learn continuously.
Discipline and the ability to follow instructions.

Training Details

Duration: 24 months fixed-term contract.
Learners will undergo structured training aligned with mining standards.
A monthly stipend will be provided.
Important: Assmang Ltd is not obliged to employ learners after completion of the programme.

Additional Information

Appointment will only be made after successful medical certification.
Applicants may be required to undergo a Dover assessment.
Learners must make their own arrangements for accommodation and transport.
