Kruger National Park invites young and qualified South Africans to apply for their exciting Internship Opportunities (3 Posts Available). The closing date to submit your application is 13 June 2025.

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain real work experience in a beautiful and world-famous location? Kruger National Park is offering paid internships to young South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35. If you’ve finished your National Diploma, Degree, Honours, or even a Master’s in a related field, this is your chance to take your first step into the working world—with a monthly income and the chance to work in nature’s paradise.

These internships are part of a two-year placement (24 months) where you’ll receive a monthly stipend that ranges between R6,355.69 and R10,486.58, depending on your qualification level (NQF 6 – NQF 9). Interns will be placed in various departments within Kruger National Park, including Human Resources, Labour Relations, and Tourism Management.


Internship Location

All positions are located at Kruger National Park in different offices:

  • Human Capital Management: 1 post at Phalaborwa Office
  • Labour Relations: 1 post at Skukuza Corporate Office
  • Hospitality/Tourism Services: 1 post at Skukuza Tourism Office

Who Can Apply?

To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 35 years
  • You must have completed a National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Honours, or Master’s from a South African public university or college
  • You must be currently unemployed
  • You must not have participated in any internship or placement programme before

This opportunity is for serious young professionals who are ready to commit to a two-year work experience programme and grow their careers in a meaningful way.


Monthly Stipend

Depending on the level of your qualification, the internship will pay between:

R6,355.69 – R10,486.58 per month

    • Certified copies of your academic qualifications and transcripts

Note: If you are applying from outside the area, you must arrange your own accommodation and transport. SANParks may offer accommodation in the park, but it’s based on availability and is not guaranteed.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
  • You must be willing to attend interviews and assessments if selected.
  • If your qualifications are from outside South Africa, they must be evaluated by SAQA.
  • SANParks reserves the right not to fill the internship posts if they decide not to.
