As a General Worker, you will be involved in various tasks, from stock taking to packing, ensuring that our warehouse is well-organized and our customers receive their orders on time.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker at Midas Rustenburg, you will be responsible for the following:

Binning:

Binning incoming merchandise and replenishing inventory from bulk to pick locations as per standard operating procedures.
Allocating new products with bin location numbers in the correct warehouse area.
Updating bins and reporting stock allocated to new bin locations to your superior.
Assisting in replenishment functions.
Receiving and checking all incoming goods according to company standards.

Picking:

Timely picking of customer and branch orders to meet order cut-off times.
Picking from bulk locations only when stock is depleted in picking locations or when handling bulk orders.
Following all relevant procedures to enhance customer satisfaction and prevent inventory loss.
Assisting in stock-taking procedures.
Performing daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.
Conducting double checks to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Scanner Control:

Issuing scanners to all operators daily and booking them out on the electronic app.
Inspecting and booking scanners back into stock after use, reporting any damage to the supervisor.
Completing the daily scanner issue spreadsheet.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

Education: Grade 12, with literacy and numeracy equivalent.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable.
Knowledge: Familiarity with spares, motor, or engine parts, as well as warehouse systems and procedures.
