🌍 About the Role

As a Packer at Nando’s Feitoria, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production line. Your role will include quality checks, maintaining housekeeping standards, and ensuring that finished goods are produced and released on time.

🎓 Minimum Requirements

• Education: Matric or recognized equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing.
• Skills: Experience with 5S – Housekeeping, exposure to a food manufacturing environment.

🛠 Key Duties and Responsibilities

Safety and Quality:

• Follow all Nando’s Feitoria safety rules and policies.
• Wear all prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards in your area of responsibility.
• Report any near misses, unsafe behavior, or incidents to your supervisor, manager, or EOHS Officer.
• Achieve 100% compliance with safety rules.
• Adhere to zero harm and zero alcohol tolerance safety principles.

Operations and Equipment Usage:

• Perform setup tasks and duties within your assigned work area according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions.
• Assist in achieving safety, quality, productivity, and equipment effectiveness goals.
• Conduct a 5-point check on equipment before operation every shift.
• Follow the lockout system when conducting 5S.
• Record scrap levels daily on shopware.
• Participate fully in production to achieve an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) score of 65% or higher and a scrap score of 2% or less.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

• Participate in inventory control activities, including stock takes.
• Engage in Nando’s Feitoria Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the team leader or manager.
• Be prepared to work overtime when required.
