PG Building Glass is known for producing different types of glass, including strong safety glass, decorative glass, and glass that blocks heat, noise, and sunlight. As a General Worker, your main role is to support the factory and help make sure production runs smoothly.

You will assist machine operators, check the quality of glass, and make sure every product meets the required standards before it moves to the next stage.

What You Will Be Doing Daily

This role includes many hands-on tasks. Here’s a simple breakdown of what your daily work may look like:

Measure glass using tools like a tape measure
Check glass for cracks, scratches, or defects
Follow instructions from job cards and drawings
Assist machine operators with production tasks
Record information on paper and computer systems
Make sure all glass is correctly labelled before moving it
Scan finished glass and remove damaged pieces
Pack and load glass onto racks or trolleys
Move materials around the factory using a pallet jack
Load and offload trucks when needed
Keep your work area clean and safe
Handle chemicals carefully and follow safety rules
Complete job cards after finishing tasks
Help in different areas of the factory when required

This is a physically demanding job, so you must be comfortable standing for long hours and lifting materials.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
At least 1 year of experience in glass processing
Ability to travel to work daily
Willingness to work under pressure and meet deadlines

If you do not have experience in glass processing, your chances may be lower, as this is an important requirement.
