  • Good hand-eye coordination and steady hands.

  • Previous exposure to PDR techniques.
  • Experience in an automotive repair workshop or dealership environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

As an apprentice, you will be expected to:

  • Assist a qualified technician with PDR repairs.
  • Learn how to record job times accurately.
  • Understand Repair Order Instructions before starting any task.
  • Learn how to plan repair jobs and identify required parts.
  • Attend prescribed training sessions.
  • Assess vehicle damage to determine if PDR repairs are possible.
  • Repair dents, dings, hail damage, creases, and other imperfections without affecting the paint.
  • Use specialized PDR tools like rods, lights, glue pulling systems, and knockdowns.
  • Keep accurate records of all repairs.
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer and dealership quality standards.
  • Communicate repair progress with Service Advisors or Workshop Controllers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
