What Does a Part-Time Invigilator Do?

In this job, you will play a very important role during student assessments. Your duties will include:

  • Keeping watch over students during exams to make sure there’s no cheating or irregularities.
  • Handing out answer booklets and exam papers to students.
  • Making sure that all assessment rules and policies are followed at all times.
  • Setting up exam rooms properly before each assessment begins.
  • Offering help during emergencies, such as if a student becomes sick or if there’s a fire drill.
  • Answering any questions students may have during the exams, as long as it’s allowed.
  • Writing detailed reports after each exam session.

Who Can Apply?

To apply for this position, you need to meet these basic requirements:

Qualifications:

  • A Matric certificate (Grade 12) is required.
  • A Higher Certificate or Diploma will give you an advantage, but it’s not a must.

Experience:

  • You should have at least 1 to 2 years of work experience in any field.
  • You must have no criminal record.
