SAHPRA Calls on Youth to Apply: Business Administration Learnership 2025 (NQF Level 4) – Stipend Included

The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) is inviting young South Africans to apply for its Business Administration Learnership Programme (NQF Level 4) for 2025. This opportunity, offered in partnership with the Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (HWSETA), is designed to help unemployed youth gain valuable work experience while studying towards a recognized qualification. The closing date for applications is 05 September 2025.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 35, unemployed, and passionate about building a career in business administration, this could be the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for.

What is the SAHPRA Business Administration Learnership?

The SAHPRA Business Administration Learnership is a 12-month programme that blends theory with workplace training. Learners will attend classroom-based sessions provided by an accredited training provider and also gain hands-on work experience within SAHPRA’s offices.

By the end of the programme, participants will earn a National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 4 certificate in Business Administration, a qualification recognized across industries. This means learners will not only build knowledge but also have a formal certification to boost their employability.

This programme is not just about academics—it’s about gaining real-world business skills, from handling administrative tasks to working with clients and supporting everyday business operations.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this learnership, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have Grade 12 (Matric) or an N4/N5/N6 certificate.
  • Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
  • Must have no criminal record and a clean credit history.
  • Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Must be unemployed and not currently in another learnership programme.
  • Must be able to reside in or travel to Pretoria for training and workplace experience.

If you meet these requirements and are motivated to build a professional career, this is your chance.

Benefits of the Programme

One of the most attractive parts of this learnership is that it provides real support to learners while they gain skills. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Fully funded training: No cost to you. Training is provided by an accredited institution.
  • Monthly stipend: Learners will receive financial support to cover basic expenses.
  • Workplace exposure: Learn by doing, in a real-world office environment.
  • Recognized qualification: At the end of the 12 months, you will receive an NQF Level 4 certificate in Business Administration.

These benefits make the programme ideal for young people who want to grow while earning, without the financial burden of study fees.

Key Responsibilities and Learning Goals

As part of this learnership, you will:

  • Attend and complete all theoretical training sessions.
  • Take part in competency assessments to prove your understanding.
  • Gain practical experience through workplace-based training.
  • Build a portfolio of evidence showcasing your skills and growth.

This structure ensures that learners leave with more than just knowledge—they leave with practical proof of what they can do.

Why You Should Apply

This programme is about much more than a qualification. Here’s why you should consider applying:

  • Career opportunities: Business administration is a core skill in nearly every industry. With this qualification, you can work in government, private companies, or even start your own business.
  • Practical experience: Instead of only studying, you will actually experience how things work in a regulated business environment like SAHPRA.
  • Future growth: The skills learned—communication, administration, and organizational skills—are transferable and useful throughout your career.
  • National impact: By training with SAHPRA, you become part of an organization that plays a key role in safeguarding public health in South Africa.

This is not just a learnership—it’s a stepping stone towards a brighter and more secure future.

How to Apply

If you meet the criteria, you will need the following documents ready for your application:

  • A certified copy of your South African ID.
  • A certified copy of your Matric certificate or N4/N5/N6 results.
  • An updated CV (Curriculum Vitae).

Applications must be submitted through the official application link provided by SAHPRA. Make sure your documents are certified and your application is complete, as incomplete submissions may not be considered.
