What You’ll Be Doing as a SAICA Trainee

This is more than just theory. You’ll be working directly with clients, solving real challenges, and learning skills you’ll use for the rest of your career.

Here’s what your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting audits in line with audit plans and regulations.
• Analysing financial results and identifying irregularities or risk areas.
• Performing analytical reviews to evaluate performance and trends.
• Assisting in identifying and addressing key audit risks.
• Preparing annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
• Calculating corporate tax liabilities in accordance with the Income Tax Act.

You’ll gain full exposure to audit procedures, financial reporting, risk assessments, and client engagement – all under the guidance of experienced professionals.

What You Need to Qualify

Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal trainee candidate:

• A completed or in-progress SAICA-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA/CTA).
