What is the Role About?

As a Grants Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the administrative and operational functions of SASSA’s grants division. You will ensure that processes run smoothly, support financial and HR administration, and help maintain effective documentation management.

What You Need to Apply

To qualify for this job, you must meet the following requirements:


Education: An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6/7) recognized by SAQA in a relevant field
Experience: At least 2–3 years of administrative experience in a similar role
Skills: Strong document management, organizational, and communication skills
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required
Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex administrative tasks accurately
Teamwork & Leadership: Ability to work well within a team and provide support to other staff

Key Responsibilities

As a Grants Operations Coordinator, your tasks will include:

Providing secretarial support to the grants operations division
Managing documentation and filing systems for grants administration
Handling internal budgeting and financial administration
Assisting with HR administration within the department
Overseeing procurement processes to ensure compliance with supply chain policies
Supporting internal management processes to keep operations running smoothly
Ensuring compliance with SASSA’s internal policies and public sector regulations
Interacting with stakeholders and assisting with administrative problem-solving
