What You’ll Be Doing

The Cash Processor position involves handling, sorting, and processing cash in a fast-paced, secure environment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accuracy and compliance at every stage of the process.

Here’s what you’ll be expected to do:

  • Acknowledge all bags on the system accurately.
  • Process deposits according to Bank Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare notes correctly to enable smooth counting and reconciliation.

3. Note Sorting

  • Sort all deposits and notes for FDP/ACDP processing within the required cutoff times.
  • Forward rejected notes to the Cash Processor with the related documentation (deposit slip, stop loss bag, and PCD cards).

4. Reconciliation of Deposits

  • Reconcile all rejected notes to confirm accuracy and detect any counterfeit or damaged currency.
  • Handle all shortages and surpluses as per SOPs.
  • Complete end-of-day balancing and reconciliation for all processed cash.
  • Transfer balanced cash to vaults securely.

5. Coin Processing

  • Sort and process bulk coin deposits and teller coin transfers according to SBV standards.
  • Maintain accuracy when handling coin sachets and related documentation.

6. Integrated Deposit Processing

  • Verify and validate transactions through integrated banking systems.
  • Report any account mismatches to the Client Services team to prevent posting delays.
  • Escalate system delays or downtime to your Team Controller immediately.

7. Payroll and Change Handling

  • Process all payroll and change requests within the customer’s SLA timeframes.
  • Report discrepancies or errors to the Team Controller right away.
  • Pack and seal floats in drop-safe bags and follow dispatch procedures precisely.
  • Ensure bank authorization is obtained before dispatching.

8. Prepack and Treasury Assistance

  • Pack and unpack ATM and bank cash accurately.
  • Keep consumables stocked and organized according to packing needs.
  • Ensure bag and seal numbers are properly recorded for every transaction.

9. Equipment Management

  • Use all counting and packing equipment carefully according to SOPs.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or defects immediately to prevent delays.

In this role, accuracy and consistency are crucial. Every deposit you process must meet the highest standards of precision and security.
