Role: Pharmacy Sales Assistant
Type: Permanent

As a Pharmacy Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our in-store retail activities. You will greet customers, arrange visual displays, process customer refunds, and identify customers’ needs to suggest products that best meet those needs.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs.
• Payment Handling: Manage payments and balance sales and receipts according to company procedures.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on new products and maintain thorough product knowledge to offer advice and recommendations.
• Restocking and Organization: Restock items and organize the sales floor as per standard operating procedures.
• Price Audits: Regularly conduct price audits to identify and rectify discrepancies.
• POS System: Process customer payments using the store’s Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Visual Merchandising: Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure an attractive sales floor.
• Housekeeping: Conduct proper housekeeping to keep the store clean and inviting.
• Customer Queries: Handle all customer queries promptly and escalate to higher management when necessary.

📚 Qualifications

Essential:

• Grade 12 qualification

🛠️ Experience

Essential:

At least 5 months of point of sale/till point experience within a retail environment.

Proven track record in retail sales, including experience working on the sales floor and behind the cash counter.

💡 Knowledge and Skills

• Solid understanding of customer service principles.
• Knowledgeable of stock receiving procedures and merchandising standards.
• Computer literate.
• Bilingual, preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Engaging and friendly personality.
• Knowledgeable of payment procedures (e.g., cash, cheque, bank card, credit cards, coupons, vouchers).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
