🏢 Job Description

Role: General Worker (Temporary)
Location: Mining site
Duration: 6-9 months
Salary: Market-related

As a General Worker, you will ensure that all planned operational targets for deposition of tailings are met on time and with top-notch quality.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Operational Targets: Work with the team leader/supervisor to achieve planned targets.
Daily Inspections: Perform inspections on your designated area of responsibility every day.
Tailings Management: Plan and manage tailings material on site and at depositing areas.
Problem Solving: Assist in solving operational challenges and report deviations to the immediate supervisor.
Discipline Procedures: Adhere to discipline procedures in accordance with the company’s policies.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety rules and regulations as per safety legislation and company procedures.
Pipeline Work: Extend and connect pipelines, and open and close valves in line with operational lines.

📚 Qualifications

Essential:

Grade 12 Certificate

🛠️ Requirements

Experience: Tailings Dam Operation background or experience in the mining or related industry for at least 2 years is advantageous.

Skills:

Good communication (verbal and written)
Good planning and organizing
Teamwork and observant
Innovative and action-oriented
