Purpose of the Role

As an Admin Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all financial data and transactions are accurately captured and reconciled. Your efforts will contribute to the production of precise trial balances and financial reports. You will identify and implement Best Operating Practices from a store accounting perspective, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Reconciliation: Manage bank account ledgers and cashups to ensure accuracy.
• Supplier Account Management: Reconcile weekly Drop Shipment and DC Warehouse supplier accounts.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Keep general ledger accounts updated and balanced.
• Sales Reporting: Accurately report daily sales figures.
• Month-End Reporting: Complete all balance sheet reconciliations on time for month-end reporting.
• Journal Entries: Capture and review journal entries for accuracy.
• Team Supervision: Oversee the store admin team, ensuring smooth operations.
• Document Management: Manage and control document management systems.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset registers.
• Adhoc Finance Projects: Provide support for various finance-related projects as needed.
• Payment Submissions: Manage and oversee payment submissions.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Matric with Accounting and Mathematics; related tertiary qualification (or currently studying towards one).
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in the FMCG sector.
• Skills:
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assertive with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage timelines effectively.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel is mandatory.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • Experience with EasyAcc is required.
