Springer Nature is Hiring a TVET Admin Assistant – 3-Year Fixed Contract, Apply Now!

Springer Nature, through its Macmillan Education brand in South Africa, is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position of TVET Admin Assistant based in Midrand, Johannesburg. About the Role

As the TVET Admin Assistant, you will be part of the Regional Publishing Services team. Your main responsibility will be to coordinate and manage the production of educational materials, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Document & Compliance Management – Track, manage, and file internal compliance documents, including requests, authorisations, and follow-ups.
  • Author Contracts – Manage and monitor the administration of author agreements.
  • Invoice & Payment Processing – Handle invoices on Syspro, assign correct expense codes, and process EFT requisitions for non-work-in-progress costs.
  • Presentation & Content Preparation – Create PowerPoint presentations and book templates; populate them with content as required.
  • Image Sourcing – Find appropriate Shutterstock images based on project briefs.
  • Marketing Support – Assist in creating promotional materials such as advance information sheets, booklets, catalogues, videos, and author audio clips.
  • Deadline Tracking – Monitor the progress of marketing content and ensure deadlines are met.
  • General Admin Duties – Arrange couriers, handle copying, scanning, printing, collating, booking meeting rooms, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Completed Matric.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant administrative role.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
    • Strong written and verbal English skills.
    • Organised and methodical work style.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Familiarity with Syspro is an advantage, but you should be willing to learn new software.
    • Quick to respond, engaged, and able to work as part of a team.
