Sun International Business Administration Learnership (NQF Level 3) Programme

Sun International invites young South Africans to apply for their Business Administration Learnership (NQF Level 3) programme. This opportunity is offered by Afrisun KZN trading as Sun Sibaya and aims to support South Africa’s national skills development agenda by empowering unemployed youth with real workplace experience and a recognised qualification.

About the Learnership

This 12-month accredited learnership gives participants a National Certificate in Business Administration (NQF Level 3). Learners will develop essential business and administrative skills such as:

  • Effective communication and information handling
  • Customer service and teamwork
  • Computer literacy and office management
  • Understanding business policies and procedures
  • Self-development and personal discipline in a professional environment

The programme offers a mix of classroom-based learning and hands-on workplace experience, giving learners valuable exposure to real-world business operations.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric certificate (Grade 12)
  • Valid South African ID
  • Passed English
  • Able to work shifts and in a smoking area
  • Well-presented, confident, and self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High levels of initiative and responsibility

Key Duties and Responsibilities

During the learnership, participants will be responsible for:

  • Managing office communication (emails, mail, and telephone)
  • Capturing data accurately into systems
  • Filing and record-keeping of documents
  • Checking cleanliness of assigned areas
  • Reporting suspicious or irregular activities
  • Supporting various admin procedures and ensuring compliance with regulations

Additional Information

  • This is a temporary learnership opportunity — there is no guarantee of permanent employment.
  • Appointment is subject to KZN Gaming Board licensing and approval.
  • Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups as per the Employment Equity Act.
  • Sun International reserves the right not to make an appointment.
  • Candidates who do not hear back within one month after the closing date should consider their application unsuccessful.
