What the Job Involves

The General Worker role is all about making sure the plant runs smoothly and products are processed, packaged, and prepared to the highest standards. You will be part of a team that keeps the production area clean, ensures quality control, and helps with different tasks to meet production goals.

Your main duties will include:

• Keeping the facility clean and sanitised at all times
• Disinfecting equipment, tools, and workstations
• Removing waste and keeping the production area organised
• Inspecting and packaging processed food products
• Monitoring packaging materials and replacing them when necessary
• Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain product quality and safety
• Performing routine hygiene and sanitation checks
• Reporting any problems or safety concerns to your supervisor
• Helping with loading and unloading deliveries
• Carrying out other tasks or errands as needed to support production

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or National Certificate
• 1–2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment (advantageous but not always mandatory)
• Good physical health and the ability to work in a cold environment
