What You’ll Be Responsible For

Welcoming guests to the restaurant and making them feel at ease
Ensuring seating arrangements are handled efficiently and fairly
Assisting waiters and restaurant staff with food and beverage service if needed
Managing guest flow and reservations during busy hours
Keeping the restaurant area tidy and organised
Responding to guest requests or concerns quickly and politely
Supporting stock control and reporting shortages where needed
Being the “face” of the restaurant – professional, presentable, and kind

This role is all about first impressions – and keeping the positive energy flowing throughout the guest’s entire dining experience.

Minimum Requirements

Make sure you meet these basic criteria before applying:

Matric (Grade 12)
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is essential
Strong ability to stay calm and problem-solve under pressure
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Clear and confident communication skills – both with guests and staff
A high level of honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity
Detail-focused and well-groomed
Must be presentable and professional at all times
Positive attitude and proactive mindset
Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays

Salary and Work Details

Salary: R5,000 per month
Type: Full-time, permanent position
Location: One of The Capital Hotels branches (relocation costs are not covered if you live outside the city)

Please note: You must be available for shifts, and willing to cover your own relocation costs if necessary.
