Main Purpose of the Role

As a Flexi, General Store Assistant (GSA), you will ensure the highest standards of customer service are delivered. You will assist customers and help meet set sales targets.

Line Manager: Store Manager

Key Responsibilities

Cash Control:

Perform cash desk functions accurately.
Follow cash control and banking processes daily.
Maintain zero cash variances.
Accurately record manual transactions.

Stock Control:

Follow daily stock management processes.
Follow up on customer orders.
Conduct weekly stock counts accurately.
Keep the storeroom in good condition.
Complete the weekly shoe pairing exercise.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
Maintain good customer relationships.
Stay knowledgeable about products.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of retail experience.

Qualifications:

Complete Matric/Grade 12.

Additional Requirements:

Understanding of retail administration disciplines.
Knowledge of stock and cash management.
Product knowledge.
Sales knowledge and selling skills.
Familiarity with policies and procedures related to the cash desk, stockroom, and administration.
Good numerical ability.
