Traffic Officer Learnership 2025/2026 – Apply for 25 Paid Training Posts

The City of Mbombela is giving young people a golden chance to join its Traffic Officer Learnership Programme for 2025/2026. This one-year paid training is perfect for anyone who wants to serve their community and build a solid career in law enforcement.

💼 About the Programme

The City of Mbombela, based in the Mpumalanga Province, is opening 25 learner traffic officer positions for unemployed youth. This 12-month learnership will train you according to the National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996) — giving you all the skills you need to start a career as a qualified traffic officer.

You’ll get both classroom and field training, learning everything about road safety, law enforcement, and how to keep the streets safe for everyone.

🧾 What You’ll Get

  • Duration: 12 months (1 year)
  • Monthly stipend: R6,500 during training (no extra benefits)
  • Location: City of Mbombela, Mpumalanga

🎓 Minimum Requirements

To apply, make sure you meet these conditions:

  • You must have Matric (Grade 12)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be under 35 years old
  • Be physically fit and willing to do physical training
  • Must have no criminal record or pending cases
  • Be a South African citizen and permanent resident of Mbombela
  • Must provide Proof of Residence with Ward Number

    • Certified copy of your ID
    • Certified copies of qualifications and driver’s license
    • Proof of residence (not older than 3 months)
