About the Trainee Traffic Officer Role

This is a 12-month training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills to become a qualified Traffic Officer. You will receive both theoretical and practical training in road safety, traffic law enforcement, and other duties related to traffic management.

As a trainee, you will work closely with experienced traffic officers, gaining hands-on experience that will prepare you for a full-time career in traffic law enforcement.

Minimum Requirements to Apply:

  • Must have completed Grade 12 (Matric certificate required).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a fitness certificate proving that you are physically fit to perform the job.
  • Must have no criminal record.

Key Responsibilities: As a Trainee Traffic Officer, you’ll be trained to:

  • Enforce traffic laws and regulations to ensure road safety.
  • Monitor traffic flow and address violations such as speeding, reckless driving, and more.
  • Assist in managing road safety campaigns and initiatives.
  • Work with community members to educate them on the importance of road safety.

This position requires a high level of physical fitness and mental alertness, as you’ll be responsible for ensuring that roads are safe for all citizens. The ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions is crucial, as you’ll work with a team to enforce the law fairly and consistently.
