Learnerships

Truworths Stores Learnership Now Open in All Provinces – No Experience Needed (Apply Before 31 July 2025)

Truworths invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Stores Learnership Programme (Available Across All Provinces). The closing date for applications is 31 July 2025.

Are you passionate about fashion? Do you dream of working in retail, but don’t have experience? Truworths is offering an exciting learnership opportunity in their stores across South Africa, and they want young, energetic individuals who are eager to learn and grow. This learnership is perfect for anyone with Grade 10 or higher, who is ready to kick-start their career in retail without needing a formal qualification or previous work background.

If you’re between the ages of 18 and 35, love working with people, and want to build a future in fashion retail, this opportunity is designed for you.

What Is This Truworths Learnership All About?

This Stores Learnership Programme gives you the chance to get real working experience in a Truworths store. You’ll learn how to help customers, manage stock, and work with the sales and service team. This is not just a training course — it’s hands-on learning where you’ll be doing real tasks and getting paid while you learn.

You’ll be cross-trained, meaning you’ll work in both the sales floor and service desk areas. By the end of the programme, you’ll be fully prepared to take on a retail job with confidence.

What Will You Learn and Do?

During the learnership, you’ll complete tasks that help you build your knowledge of the retail world. You’ll also need to complete assessments and a logbook to show what you’ve learned.

Here’s what your daily duties will include:

  • Working at least 120 hours over the course of the programme
  • Learning about the store and gaining knowledge about retail work
  • Preparing for assessments and passing them
  • Helping customers find clothes and products they’re looking for
  • Making sure the store is neat and products are displayed nicely (following MBP principles)
  • Using the POS (Point of Sale) system for payments and purchases
  • Helping customers open new store accounts
  • Assisting with stock control and reducing stock losses
  • Building strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits
  • Making sure the store stays safe and secure for shoppers

This is a great chance to get a full view of how a fashion store works, from the front desk to the back storage area.
