Position: Picker Packer
Reports To: Logistics Team Leader

UD Trucks, a global leader in the commercial automotive industry, is looking for a Picker Packer to join their dynamic logistics team. This position will be responsible for key Picking and Packing operations, including line feeding, to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse.

Responsibilities and Duties

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for picking and packing.
Perform Kaizen (continuous improvement) activities.
Engage in manual material handling such as lifting, packaging, labeling, and sorting.
Operate a forklift to move materials and use a bin system for organization.
Report any defective materials or shortages to the Team Leader.

Keep the work area clean and equipment in good working condition.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Assist with the breakdown of pallets for recycling.
Follow instructions from the Team Leader and assist with unloading materials from vehicles and stacking them.

Experience and Qualifications

Experience in an assembly plant is a plus.
Grade 12 Minimum (with Mathematics).
Completed a Component Manufacturing or Logistics Learnership, or any auto industry-related qualification.
Valid Forklift License is essential.

Job Requirements

Effective Communication Skills (both verbal and written).
Basic Mathematical Skills and the ability to handle tools.
Computer Literacy is necessary.
Strong visualization and observation skills.
Willingness to maintain high levels of efficiency and safety in daily operations.
