Minimum Requirements to Apply

Before submitting your application, ensure you meet these basic criteria:

• A recognized three-year diploma/degree (REQV13) with a professional teaching qualification
• For technical subjects: A National N Diploma or N3 qualification with trade test and two languages
• 1–2 years of experience in teaching, training, or industry in the subject field
• Registration with SACE (South African Council for Educators)
• Basic computer literacy
• Good administrative and record-keeping skills

Advantageous (Not Required but Preferred):

• Assessor or Moderator competency
• Valid driver’s license
• 3+ years of teaching/training or industry-related experience

Key Duties You’ll Be Responsible For

As a lecturer at Umfolozi TVET College, you will be expected to:

• Deliver offline and online teaching
• Assess and evaluate students based on performance standards
• Participate in subject development and promote NCV, Report 191, and Occupational programmes
• Monitor and manage student attendance
• Provide student support and guidance on subject-related issues
• Administer and manage teaching and learning activities
• Support and manage classroom behaviour

This is a hands-on teaching and mentorship role, so being actively involved in student development is essential.
