Volkswagen Group 2026/2027 Learnership and Technical Apprenticeship Programmes

Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) invites suitably qualified and ambitious young South Africans to apply for their 2026/2027 Learnership and Technical Apprenticeship Programmes. The closing date for applications is 4 November 2025. Minimum Entry Requirements

To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) with a pass in Core Mathematics and Physical Science (Maths Literacy will not be accepted).
  • Or an N3 Certificate with four subjects, including Core Mathematics and Physical Science (or higher).

Meeting these academic requirements ensures that learners have the foundation needed to handle the technical nature of the training.

Candidate Expectations

Volkswagen seeks individuals who are serious about their future and ready to take on new challenges. Applicants should note:

  • You will be required to attend interviews and undergo assessments.
  • You must clearly indicate your first and second choice field of study.
  • You should be ready to complete part-time studies while in the programme.
  • Overtime will not be required unless specifically authorized.
  • Current Volkswagen employees applying internally must include their job title and SAP number.

Please note that employees who have previously completed a TLA Apprenticeship or Learnership will not be considered again. Successful internal candidates will return to available production roles upon completing the training.

Applicants must submit certified documents (not older than 3 months), including:

  • A certified copy of your South African ID.
  • A certified copy of your highest school or college qualification.
  • A motivational letter explaining why you want to join the programme and your preferred field of study.
  • Contact details, including a working cellphone number and an alternative contact number.

These documents help the recruitment team assess your passion, commitment, and suitability for the programme.
