What You Will Do as an Assistant: Operations at Woolworths

Your job is to support the store by making sure everything works well behind the scenes. You will help manage equipment, stock, and safety so the store is clean, organized, and ready for customers and staff every day.

Key tasks include:

Removing unused equipment from the sales floor so spaces are ready for trade and customers
Receiving stock deliveries and dispatching items according to Woolworths’ policies and procedures
Keeping the store safe and hygienic at all times to protect customers and staff
Regularly checking high-risk areas like fitting rooms and lockers to maintain cleanliness and safety
Working with external contractors such as refrigeration engineers to ensure service levels meet company standards

Minimum Requirements to Apply

To qualify for this role, you must have:

A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent NQF qualification
Previous experience in the Retail or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is helpful but not essential
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHASA) rules and procedures to help maintain a safe working environment
