
Mpumalanga Department Invites Youth to Apply for Basic Traffic Officer Diploma Learnership – Apply by 14 November 2025
The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison is calling on unemployed young people living in Mpumalanga to join their Basic Traffic Officer Diploma Learnership Programme for 2025/2026. This 12-month learning opportunity helps you gain important skills and a recognized qualification in Traffic Law Enforcement. Best of all, you earn a monthly stipend of R5,000 while training at the Mpumalanga Traffic Training College in Mkhuhlu (Calcutta), located in the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality.
This programme is designed to prepare young South Africans for a career in traffic and law enforcement. It combines classroom lessons with practical, real-world training and physical fitness exercises. You will learn how to manage road safety and enforce traffic laws.
When you finish the course successfully, you will earn a Diploma in Basic Traffic Officer (NQF Level 4). This diploma is nationally recognized and can help you get a job in various traffic and law enforcement departments.

Once selected, you will sign a 12-month training agreement with the Department. The Department supports Employment Equity and welcomes applications from all racial groups, genders, and persons with disabilities.
